FIFA World Cup - Soccer Qualifiers

Tonight is the 2nd Qualifying round for the Soccer World Cup in Groups C, E, and F:  In Game 1 of our selection, Azerbaijan is playing Norway at home. Azerbaijan won their 1st game away from home 1-0 at San Marino. They are 2nd in the standings with 3 points.  Norway are ranked on the last place in Group C with 0 points after a 3-0 [heavy] defeat away from home at Germany.  Norway lost 4 of their last 5 matches in all competitions.  The two teams have met 4 times so far - Norway are undefeated - 3 wins and a draw.  Both teams seem to have difficulties scoring goals, so I pick the option under 3 goals (total) in this game. Game 2 of our selection features Montenegro and Kazakhstan.  Montenegro settled to a 1-1 draw away from home with Romania, as they are without a win in the last 7 matches. Kazakhstan comes after a respectable 2-2 draw with Poland at home, as they are playing well lately, undefeated in 5 of their last 6 matches. However Montenegro is playing at home today, so I pick them to win this game in the Money Line (ML) with the option "Draw No Bet", i.e. if the game is tied after 90 mins. of play, the Bet is Void. In Game 3 of our selection, Poland is playing Denmark, a hotly-anticipated derby match. Poland achieved 2-2 draw at Kazakhstan, and they are undefeated in 6 of the last 7 matches in all competitions and we expect them to do well in this match. Denmark comes after a 1-0 victory against Armenia. Poland is 2nd in Group E with 1 point and Denmark is in the 1st place in the standings with 3 points. The last meeting between the 2 teams was 3 years ago - Poland defeated Denmark 3-2 at home. With that said, I pick Poland to win or draw - the option "Alt. Handicap", i.e. if the game is tied after 90 mins. of play or Poland wins it, the selection is victorious. In the last game of our selection, Germany hosts the Czech Republic. Germany won 3-0 over Norway in their 1st game. They won 7 of their last 9 matches in all competitions and are ranked 1st in Group C with 3 points. Czech Republic had a scoreless draw with Northern Ireland in the 1st round. They are 3rd in the group with only 1 point. With that, I pick Germany straight to win in the Money Line (ML).

Special Proposition: 4-team Parlay - Parlays are single wagers [of each selected game above] that are linked together, all of which must win for the Parlay to be graded as a Winner. Parlays are actually accumulators, which are widely used in popular European betting markets. The odds on parlays are greater than individual side, selected above. In our case, the 4-team Parlay, consisting of the proposed matches, gives us the following odds: (1.25 x 1.25 x 1.30 x 1.20) = 2.44. In summary, besides playing the above single wagers, we can also combine them in a Parlay. If, for some reason, any of the Single Bets above (participating in the Parlay) is Void, the odds would be reduced.

UPDATE October 8, 2016 - FINAL Results:  Azerbaijan 1-0 Norway, Montenegro 5-0 Kazakhstan, Poland 3-2 Denmark, Germany 3-0 Czech Republic.  Azerbaijan player Medvedev scored an early goal, which was enough for Azerbaijan to win this game. Norway had bulk of chances, but came up blank. Azerbaijan recorded two wins in a World Cup group for the 1st time, and they are on top of Group C with 6 pts. Norway is still without a point. As we expected this was a low scoring game, i.e. finished under 3 goals. Montenegro Tomašević's header handed the hosts a 26th-minute lead, then Vukčević, Jovetić, Bećiraj and Savić scored 4 more goals. This is one of the Montenegro's biggest ever home success. A victory for Montenegro, as we correctly predicted. Poland held on for a great win to overtake Denmark in Group E.  Robert Lewandowski was the hero, as he got a hat-trick. He now has scored in 7 straight qualifiers. Yussuf Poulsen of Denmark put the away team to within one goal, but it was not enough. Our "alt. handicap" bet was right on the money [to pick a draw or home win for Poland].  Germany secured their second 3-0 win in Group C, as we predicted.  Müller had his 3rd and 4th goals of the campaign. Kroos had doubled the lead for the Germans in the 2nd half.  Czech Republic remains with only 1 point after 2 games.  In summary, we were able to win all of our single selections today, including, the proposed 4-team parlay [all single wagers that we won were combined in that parlay], which easily made up for any unexpected losses in the prior few days of single free picks.
