San Antonio Spurs sign David Lee to a 2-year contract

The mainstream sports media reported that David Lee decided to join the 2016 Southwest Division Champions Spurs [after the greatest power forward in the game, Tim Duncan, retired this summer], in order to be part of the their front court solution.  He would be coming off the bench.  Earlier this month San Antonio lost 3 big men of their roster - B. Marjanović, B. Diaw, and D. West.  The Spurs let miserably B. Marjanović "to walk", while paying the 39-year old vet Ginobili the "ridiculous" 14 Mln. dollars for 1 year.  They watched helplessly D. West leaving as well [signed with the Golden State]. Marjanović signed a lucrative contract with Detroit.  He played very limited minutes in the Playoffs last year, which I consider it a huge, fatal mistake by coach Popovich [On March 27, Marjanović played an excellent game against the Thunder, finishing with 13 pts, 6 rbs, 1blk, 1 stl, and dominating the boards].  In my view, the Spurs lost the series vs. Oklahoma Thunder because of Marjanović's lack of playing time [The Spurs were out-rebounded by Oklahoma, and that cost them the series].  After Tim Duncan retired, the Spurs were forced to trade Boris Diaw in order to sign Paul Gasol [a great move] - no much choice there for them to maneuver. The Spurs deal with David Lee is believed to be worth $3.2 million.   

Lee's performance from the bench in the last few years was decent.  The 33-year-old power forward averaged 8.5 points and 7.0 rebounds, while shooting 53 percent from the field last season. 

Let's look at some codes:  The name "David Lee" has a Gematria of '748' and '37', which points out to "shining, sun, sun image, pity or compassionate, to distribute, unguent [a salve for soothing or healing], the anointing [similar to  Messiah], strength, body, pure, life".  It appears Lee would be a tremendous asset for the Spurs in the middle of the rotation, I believe, much better choice than David West. Therefore, it is fair to state the Spurs made an upgrade of their bench replacing West with David Lee.  Lee's age is 33; '33' is a  'Master Builder number', translating to "Beloved, Yah [God] lives, to seize, roar, river, stream, offers guidance, lacks personal ego and focuses toward spiritual uplifting of others" - according to this code, Lee joins the Spurs at a perfect time of his career.  The reported date for Lee's acquisition was July 28.  '28' stands for "Valley of Vision, lovely, pleasant, one beloved, a friend, to shine, strength, wealth, produce", which is another promising sign that Lee could be a good fit for the Spurs.  In addition to Lee, San Antonio prior signed another big man - the 7 ft center Dewayne Dedmon, who spent last year with the Orlando Magic.  On March 26, 2016, Dedmon recorded a career-high 18 points and a season-high 13 rebounds in 22 minutes as a starter in a 111–89 win over the Chicago Bulls. 

With the departure of Tim Duncan, B. Diaw, and B. Marjanović, it remains to be seen whether the acquisitions of Paul Gasol, D. Dedmon, and [now] David Lee would improve the Spurs roster in the upcoming season.
