SA Spurs Media Day - Opening 2016-17 NBA Season

The Spurs coaches and players met with members of the press to discuss the expectations for the new NBA season and the Spurs' preparation plan in order to attack again the NBA title [as they do every year since Tim Duncan joined the team].  The training camp has officially begun - coach Gregg Popovich has given a long interview.  Tim Duncan, the two-time NBA MVP and 15-time All-Star, who retired after last season, was not present Monday, a true shocker for anyone.  “He [Duncan] is the coach of whatever he feels like,” Spurs’ Coach Gregg Popovich said at media day on Monday.

Let's look at some Gematria and analyze the coach of the Spurs:  The name "Gregg Popovich" equals the following codes [according to all Gematria Calculators] - 83,115, 186, 218, 1046, 1766. Members of the media interviewed also Spurs forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who said, “I was a leader in Portland. If it happens here, it does. If it doesn't, it doesn't.”  Aldridge suggested he would be more of a leader by example. Let's look at some Gematria and analyze him as well:  The name "LaMarcus Aldridge" equals the following Gematria codes - 69, 158, 178, 206, 555.  The codes suggest "wise, building, grace, to be a well trained-magician [in Basketball], intelligent, understanding, a connection [all great qualities to prosper in San Antonio], class, comforter, ring, cherish(ed), to storm, to shine, to be strong, powerful, to collect, mountain land [he will definitely win a title!], double money [he will be paid very well]. Aldridge will play his 2nd season with the Spurs.  Interesting enough Tim Duncan won his 1st title in year 2, so let see whether LaMarcus will repeat the success of Duncan during his second year in San Antonio. In 1997, Duncan had David Robinson next to him to help winning a title.  In 2016, Aldridge has Paul Gasol (a 2 time champion) alongside, thus the Spurs upcoming season shall be very exciting.

Lastly, I want to discuss the interview with the new 'Spurs addition' -Paul Gasol, the 36-year-old center from Spain, a 6-time All-Star, who won 2 championships with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2009 and 2010. Gasol averaged 16.5 points, 11 rebounds and 4.1 assists with the Chicago Bulls last season.  “The Spurs have been an example for all the teams in the league,” Gasol said, "So I’m not coming here to fill Tim Duncan's shoes, and the spot that he left. But I’m here to make the best to fit in as best as I can with the guys that are here to win a title basically".  Let's look at Gematria and analyze Gasol:  The name "Paul Gasol" equals the following Gematria codes - 35, 72, 77, 160, 449 [87th PRIME]. The codes mean "to be marvelous / gigantic, break forth, cheer up, to be high, little mountain, hills, bright, fruitful, compassion, a stream, a strong / high place, tower, fullness, a multitude, mighty, strength, warrior, glory, firmness / stability, to shine, be smooth / pleasant, pleasantness, high cliff, a tree, oak, strong will" [all excellent characteristics that allowed Gasol to win 2 titles and possibly more], and also "exhausted, faint, failure" [all his years in Memphis and in Chicago]. 

In conclusion, the Gematria analysis above tells us the Spurs shall have another amazing season, with very strong possibility of winning their 6th title, if coach Popovich takes some warranted risk and avoids fatal mistakes.  My take is, the Spurs are built to make a run for it - with Paul Gasol the Spurs get a lift offensively in the middle. Gasol, Lee, and Dewayne Dedmon can also rebound and block shots at a high level, so they could somewhat replace Duncan's defensive stats on the court. If we take into account the presence of Kawhi Leonard, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, Patty Mills, and Danny Green, the San Antonio Spurs may have the veteran experience, outside shooting, and defense to push them back over the top in the 2016-17 NBA season.
