Chicago White Sox - San Diego Padres - MLB

Wager: $150. Chicago White Sox will play San Diego Padres at 14:10 ET today. The Sox will start pitcher J. Quintana (2-5, 4.46 ERA), who has struck out 41, but walked 19 in 42 1/3 inn. this year;  Left-hander allowed four runs in 5 innings against Baltimore in his last start, but did not get any support from the offense. Prior to that he was brilliant against KC on May 3rd by allowing only 4 hits and recording 7Ks. Padres will counter with J. Weaver, who has given up 22 runs (17 earned) in his last 3 starts, as he tops the Majors with 14 home runs allowed, a total disaster.  With that, we pick Chicago White Sox @ 1.21  @ Bet365, with the spread of (+1.5) runs. UPDATE, May 14, 2018: Chicago White Sox 9-3 San Diego Padres. The Sox covered the spread of (+1.5 Runs), as we expected, but came late in the 8th inning, when they scored 8 runs, giving them the series win and a second straight victory after six consecutive losses. Quintana finished with a no-decision, yielding 3 runs on 5 hits over 7 innings, striking out five and walking four. Weaver allowed one run in the first inning but that was all the White Sox could produce, as he yielded five hits in six innings and 89 pitches, his 1st solid performance this season. Once again, we've had 'both sides' played on this one by selecting the clever play "hosts + 1.5 runs at home", and not trying to be "smart" by playing risky-high odds. Our Bet was a winner: $150 investm. returns $182, i.e., $32 Net  Profit, 21% ROI. With this winner, we are currently on a 16-game-pick winning streak!

Garcia will face off Tuesday early afternoon in the 2nd and final game between the Blue Jays and Braves at Rogers Centre before the teams head to SunTrust Park in Atlanta to complete the home - and - home series: Toronto lost last night, so they shall do better today. Bet "Alt. Run Line 2-Way: Toronto Blue Jays  +1.5 Runs"@ BET365: 1.31 (-305), Wager: $150. UPDATE: Toronto Blue Jays 5-9 Atlanta Braves. Atlanta surprised the Blue Jays again and destroyed them by 4 runs, and with that, they snapped our 16-Game winning streak. Our Bet loses (-$150).

BONUS Pick: Matrix888: May 17. Our 4th pick, MLB: Los Angeles Angels - Chicago White Sox, 10:07 pm ET. Angels will play game 3 of the series vs. the W. Sox. The Halos start Shoemaker, who has had a good season (2-2 4.50 ERA), as he threw 7 scoreless innings against the Tigers in his last start, striking out 7. White Sox right-hander M. Gonzalez will start for them, but he is being terrible 0-3 with a 6.62 ERA in his last three outings. The public likes the Sox, but we go with the Angels, who could possibly sweep the series: With that, we pick L.A. Angels + spread of (+1.5) runs, @ BET365: 1.26 (-385). Wager: $222.

UPDATE: Los Angeles Angels 12-8 Chicago White Sox. The L.A. Angels destroyed the poor White Sox by scoring 12 runs on them, proving again that betting all the time on the underdogs is very foolish idea.
