Boston Bruins-St. Louis Blues (Option 'Alt. Goal Line') |
Match Total (U 6.5 G.) 1.35 (Bet365.com) |
Wager: $600. We turn our focus to the NHL: Boston Bruins (11-7-0) and St. Louis Blues (10-6-3) will meet tonight. The game will start at 7:00 p.m. EST at the TD Garden, and will be on NBCSN, SN, NESN, FS-MW, NHL.TV. Forward D. Backes faces St. Louis for the 1st time, since signing with Boston as a free agent. The Bruins have won 3 straight home games. St. Louis Blues have won 3 in row, but have lost the past 4 road games, with 2-5-1 overall record on the road. Boston scratched Colin Miller tonight; Injured: Kevan Miller (hand), David Pastrnak (upper body). Boston is showing strong defense - they are 3rd in "Goals Against" and 8th in "Penalty Kill %" categories this season. The Blues scratched Petteri Lindbohm and Nail Yakupov for the game; Injured: Joel Edmundson (upper body), Alexander Steen (upper body). They are 2nd in "Penalty Kill %", showing also great defense. The official, basic Las Vegas game line for O/U is (5.0 Goals), so 'Las Vegas is expecting' a low scoring game. With that said, I pick the "Alternat. Goal Line" option @BET365 (Under 6.5 Goals). [Unless the amount to bet is specified, as is in this game, our predictions are generally made for a $100 wager.]
UPDATE November 23, 2016 - FINAL Result: Boston Bruins 2-4 St. Louis Blues. Blues beat Bruins for 4th straight win. The Bruins and the Blues scored 6 goals total to keep our winning streak going (8 in a row): our Bet of Under 6.5 Goals WON. $600 invested, resulted in TOTAL return of $810 ($600 Principal + $210 Net Profit). Boston did not deserve to lose, as they had 41 (SOG) vs. 28 of the Blues. However, St. Louis were more efficient, as they capitalized on their chances. J. Allen made 39 saves, J. Lehtera scored twice for St. Louis. David Backes, a former captain of the Blues, scored in his 1st game against St. Louis since signing with Boston. Bruins defenseman Zd, Chara left the game after skating 1 shift in the 2nd P.;
Comments: New email from Dunno, asking about the odds: Dunno, again, you are mixing the Decimal Odds with the American odds. Please, see the explanation here. Nobody is "claiming plus (+) money": 1.35 is not (+135) as you think - 1.35 means that for every $100 placed, the Net Profit is only $35; (+135) means that for every $100 placed, your profit is $135 + $100 principal = $235 total return, i.e. (+135) = 2.35 in Decimal Odds, we use here, based on BET365. I have been doing this for 25+ years. My suggestion is, when you see a new prediction here, please, visit BET365, select the option "Decimal Odds", and you could compare the current odds there and the ones we gave (keep in mind that the odds move a little) - you can convert the odds there by changing the selection they have to the American Odds - it is the 3rd Option of their Menu. In the Nice soccer game - you lay out $1,500 for U. 3.5 goals to get back TOTAL of $1,920, i.e. your Net profit is only $420, so you are risking $1,500 to win only $420 Net, i.e. 28% return on your initial investment. That's NOT plus(+) money. The Decimal System is much better - you can do calculations easier: The decimal number (for odds) has a fractional part separated from the integer part with a decimal separator (e.g. 1.35). The fractional part represents the percentage return of your initial investment (multiplied by 100), i.e. 0.35 x 100 = 35%. I hope is all clear. We are NOT Gamblers here - we provide a risk-controlled system to make money consistently with selected bets with mitigated risk.
