NHL News: The Vegas Golden Knights, the new NHL expansion team, just signed Reid Duke as their first player. Duke was originally drafted by the Minnesota Wild.  “The Duke” was a 6th-round choice of the Wild in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. After 2 seasons in the WHL with the Wheat Kings, Minnesota planned to sell Duke’s rights in exchange for another draft pick.  Duke was signed exactly 13 days (312 hours) after reaching a 300-game plateau (Feb. 22) in his WHL career.
