Cory Schneider made 29 saves to lift the New Jersey Devils to a 3-1 win against the Carolina Hurricanes at PNC Arena. The Devils (16-16-7) have won three out of four and two in a row for the first time since Dec. 6. Henrique, Cammalleri and Palmieri each had a goal and an assist for New Jersey. The Hurricanes (16-14-7) saw their 11-game home point streak (10-0-1) snapped by the Devils. They had not lost in regulation since losing 4-2 to the Anaheim Ducks. Cam Ward made 15 saves. Some Conspiracy:  Henrique scored his 10th goal and gave the Devils a 1-0 lead at 14:56 of the 2nd period, i.e., 5:04 remaining in the period. 5:04 makes the number 54 (if we omit the zero in Hebrew).
