UPDATE December 21, 2016 - FINAL Result: Atalanta  2-1  Empoli. Atalanta beat Empoli by 2 goals to one in a thriller to claim the 6th spot, as expected, in Serie A: It was not easy, the home side scored the winning goal in stoppage time: D'Alessandro at 90'+4.  As I said above, the "Black Magic" had to be shown, Atalanta won!!! The home team had 66% ball possession (66 is always "in play" in such situations) vs. only 34% for the visitors Empoli.
