Tampa Bay L. - Philad. Flyers (Option 'Alt. Goal Line') |
Match Total (O 3.5 G) 1.25 (Bet365.com) |
We continue with our coverage of the NHL: Tampa Bay Lightning (11-6-1) will visit the Philadelphia Flyers (8-7-3). The game will start at 1 p.m. ET, at the Wells Fargo Centerand stadium, and will be available on SN, CSN-PH, SUN, NHL.TV. The Lightning scratched Luke Witkowski for the game; Injured: Steven Stamkos (knee), Anton Stralman (upper body). The Flyers scratched 3 players for today's game: Roman Lyubimov, Nick Schultz, Andrew MacDonald; Injured: Michal Neuvirth (lower body), Boyd Gordon (upper body). Tampa Bay played an excellent hockey this year - they are 2nd in the Atlantic Div., with 3 straight victories. They won their last game 4-1 at Buffalo away from home, despite the injury of their superstar Steven Stamkos. The Flyers are 6th in the Eastern Metropolitan Division. They crushed the Jets in their last game at home 5-2. Both teams recorded (scoring) match totals of at least 4 goals in their last 5 games. Tampa Bay Lightning just became the 4th highest scoring team in the league; the Flyers just moved to 2nd in that category. The official, basic Las Vegas game line for O/U is (5.5 Goals). With that said, I pick the "Alternative Goal Line" option @ BET365 (Over 3.5 Goals). [Unless the amount to bet is specified, our predictions are generally made for a $100 wager.]
UPDATE November 21, 2016 - FINAL Result: Tampa Bay Lightning 3-0 Philadelphia Flyers. Lightning topped the Flyers for 4th consecutive win, as A. Vasilevskiy made 32 saves - his 2nd straight shutout. Unfortunately, we needed a goal to get the score Over 3.5 goals - The Flyers had their chances - they completely outplayed Tampa, as having 32 shots on goal vs. only 18 for the visitors, but they could not score. The difference in the game was the block shots - Tampa-21, Flyers-6. Vasilevskiy hasn't allowed a goal in the past 151:36, dating to the 2nd period against the New York Islanders on Nov. 10. He made 34 saves in a shutout against the Islanders on Monday before this game. Palat had a goal and an assist, and Tyler Johnson and Jonathan Drouin each scored for the Lightning (12-6-1), who won their 4 straight, all on the road. Tampa Bay L. team is a title contender this year.
