Cagliari - Palermo - Italy Serie A

Round 11 of Italian Serie A continues:  Palermo and Cagliari will meet face to face on Monday night at 20:00 GMT (16:00 p.m. EST, U.S.), at Stadio Sant'Elia (Cagliari).  It is a relegation "dogfight" between 2 sides with horrible defensive stats:  Cagliari are ranked 14th in Serie A standings with 13 points, 17 goals scored and 23 goals allowed, and have failed to win 6 of their last 10 league matches.  The team has serious injuries so far this season, as Murru is the latest casualty, out for 6 wks. with a knee surgery. Palermo is 19th in the standings with just 6 points out of 10 matches - a terrible record.  Cagliari has not defeated Palermo since a 2-1 here in February 2012, so now is the time for them to record a victory over their opponent and move in the top 10 of the table. Both teams conceded goals: Cagliari allowed 12 goals in the last 5 matches, an average of 2.4 goals per game; Palermo gave up 13 goals in the last 5 matches, an average of 2.6 goals per game.  With that, I pick the option Match Total - "Alternative Goal Line" (Over 2.0,2.5 goals), i.e., if both teams score exactly 2 goals in 90 mins., then, 1/2 of the Bet is considered Void and 1/2 of the wager is returned [a "safety net"]; the other half is considered a loss.

UPDATE October 31, 2016 - FINAL Result: Cagliari 2-1 Palermo. Cagliari defeated Palermo in the last game of round 11 in Serie A: After a quiet first half [0-0], both teams scored 3 goals in the 2nd half  - Dessena marked his presence with 2 goals for the home side - in the 53' and 64' mins., but then Nestorovski scored for the visitors in the 79' min.; With that, the match total went over 2.5 goals, as we expected and predicted - a clear winner for us [we actually predicted the home win as well, by pointing out that it was about time for Cagliari to win a match against Palermo].
