L.A. Dodgers vs. Washington Nationals (Kershaw vs. Ross) |
L.A. Dodgers (-0.5 Runs) 1.75 (Bet365.com) |
L.A. Dodgers will play Washington Nationals in Game 4 of the NL Division Playoff Series tonight. The Nats will send right-hander Joe Ross to the mound to start opposite Dodgers ace left-hander Clayton Kershaw, who will start on a 3 days' rest in Game 4 of an NLDS for the 4th consecutive year. This is vital game for the Dodgers - they must win to stay in the race. The L.A. Dodgers have won the NL West title 4 straight seasons and 6 times in the past 9 years. However, they haven't won a World Series in 28 years. They have believed it was their turn for some time, but for that, they would have to win 2 straight over the Nationals this year. The ball is in Kershaw's hands to deliver a victory for L.A. today. With that said, I take the L.A. Dodgers with the spread of (-0.5 Runs).
UPDATE October 12, 2016 - FINAL Result: LA Dodgers 6-5 Washington Nationals. The LA Dodgers were able to tie the NLDS series 2-2: Chase Utley saved their season on Tuesday by hitting the tiebreaking RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the 8th inning, giving them a 6-5 win over the Washington Nationals. The National League Division Series heads back to Washington for a decisive Game 5 on Thursday. LA's ace Clayton Kershaw struck out 11, but was removed after throwing 110 pitches, and allowing 5 runs and/on 5 errors. Nationals' starter Ross pitched just 2.2 innings and gave up 3 hits, 4 runs and/on 4 errors.
